7月2日，学校在屏风校区教八楼会议室召开2021年外籍教师座谈会。周国清副校长出席会议，国际交流处、人事处、科技处、相关学院负责人，学校全体外籍教师参会。会议还邀请桂林市出入境管理处民警到场就出入境相关法律法规进行宣讲和答疑。
周国清在座谈会上致辞。他指出，随着学校国际化步伐的加快，外籍教师在教学和科研方面发挥的作用也日益凸显。近年来，学校十分重视高端外籍人才及外籍专家的引进，学校服务与管理水平不断提高，相关职能部门和二级学院也积极配合，为外籍教师提供了良好的工作与生活条件。他希望外籍教师继续发挥其专业和国际资源的优势，与我校专业教师和科研人员齐心协作，广开思路，为学校的建设贡献力量。
随后，桂林市出入境管理处民警就当前我国的出入境管理法律法规、疫情防控政策进行了讲解，并解答了外籍教师们提出的相关问题。
来自巴基斯坦的地球科学专业教师易布拉·依克伯（Ibrar Iqbal）博士和来自南非的英语语言教师安娜塔西亚·福克斯（Anastasia Fox）女士先后发言，他们对学校提供的良好教学与科研平台和周全的服务表示由衷感谢，对各自今后的工作进行了展望。
相关职能部门和二级学院负责人还就疫情防控、外籍教师日常管理、外籍教师师德师风等议题进行了宣讲，并现场解答了外籍教师提出的问题。
此次座谈会是我校首次召开的多部门多学院的外籍教师座谈会，不仅体现了学校对外籍教师工作的高度重视和对外籍教师的关心关爱，也初步构建了外籍教师的协同管理机制，为学校进一步做好外籍教师工作打下了基础。

Guilin University of Technology held a symposium for foreign teachers in 2021
On July 2, Guilin University of Technology held a symposium for foreign teachers in 2021 in the conference room of Pingfeng Campus. Vice President Zhou Guoqing attended the meeting, and the heads of International Exchange Office, Personnel Office, Science and Technology Office, relevant colleges, and all foreign teachers attended the meeting. The meeting also invited the Guilin Immigration Police to give a lecture and answer questions on immigration-related laws and regulations.
Vice President Zhou Guoqing delivered a speech at the symposium. He pointed out that with the accelerated pace of internationalization, the role of foreign teachers in teaching and research has become more and more prominent. In recent years, the university has attached great importance to the introduction of high-end foreign talents and foreign experts, and the service and management level of the university has been improved continuously, and the relevant functional departments and secondary colleges have actively cooperated to provide good working and living conditions for foreign teachers. He hoped that the foreign teachers would continue to give full play to their professional and international resources, work together with our professional teachers and researchers, and open up their ideas to contribute to the construction of the university.
After that, the police of Guilin Exit-Entry Administration Office explained the current laws and regulations of China’s exit-entry management, epidemic prevention and control policies, and answered the relevant questions raised by the foreign teachers.
Dr. Ibrar Iqbal, an earth science teacher from Pakistan, and Ms. Anastasia Fox, an English language teacher from South Africa, spoke successively, expressing their gratitude for the teaching and research platform and comprehensive services provided by the university, and looking forward to their future work.
The heads of relevant functional departments and second-level colleges also gave lectures on epidemic prevention and control, daily management of foreign teachers, and teacher ethics of foreign teachers, and answered questions raised by foreign teachers on the spot.
This symposium is the first one held by the university for foreign teachers from multiple departments and colleges, which not only reflects the high importance the university attaches to the work of foreign teachers and the care and concern for foreign teachers, but also initially builds a collaborative management mechanism for foreign teachers, laying a foundation for the university to further improve the work of foreign teachers.
