Zhengzhou Normal University, a comprehensive undergraduate institution situated in Henan province’s capital city of Zhengzhou, benefits from a strategic location along the Yellow River and at the base of the scenic Mount Song. Sanctioned by the Ministry of Education in March 2010, the university’s establishment marked its evolution from the former Zhengzhou Teachers’ College. I. Available Academic Appointments and Required Qualifications

(1) English Language Teacher

  1. For native speakers of English, you need to possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. While candidates from all academic disciplines are welcome to apply, preference may be given to those holding degrees in English education, linguistics, or literary studies.

  2. Non-native English speakers are required to hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in either English or education.

  3. Candidates must hold internationally recognized credentials in English language instruction, such as TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certifications.

  4. A minimum of two years of documented experience in English language teaching is required, along with demonstrated proficiency in the integration of contemporary educational technologies and strong capabilities in classroom management and interpersonal communication.

  5. The university seeks individuals who exhibit a strong dedication to education, demonstrate responsibility, uphold professional ethics, and possess a collaborative team-oriented approach.

  6. Applicants must be in good physical condition, possess a clear criminal record, and be under the age of 60.

(2) Teachers in Other Languages (Russian, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian)

  1. Native speakers of the respective language holding at least a bachelor’s degree are invited to apply.

  2. Non-native speakers must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant language or in the field of education.

  3. Candidates are required to hold pertinent language proficiency certifications or teaching qualifications.

  4. A minimum of two years of experience in teaching the specific language is essential, along with familiarity with effective language teaching methodologies and the capacity to develop and deliver engaging instructional sessions.

  5. The university seeks dedicated and responsible individuals who demonstrate strong professional ethics and a collaborative work ethic.

  6. Applicants must be in good physical health, possess a clear criminal record, and be under 60 years of age.

II. Professional Responsibilities

  1. To execute assigned teaching responsibilities, prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the established curriculum, and maintain a commitment to instructional excellence.

  2. To contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation, and to assist in the compilation of syllabi and other relevant teaching resources.

  3. To administer student assessments and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all associated documentation.

  4. To participate in faculty seminars and to contribute to the exchange of research findings and pedagogical insights.

  5. To be receptive to constructive criticism and recommendations from the department aimed at the enhancement of teaching effectiveness.
